We wrapped up the competition season yesterday in Waukesha with a 3rd place finish and Grade 4 best midsection!
Three of our members also competed in solos, and Ian had a fantastic day, taking 1st place in both Novice Tenor and Practice Chanter! 🏆 He also pulled double duty competing with the prize-winning Grade 3 band.
It was great seeing familiar faces from the other bands and getting one more competition day together before the season wraps up. We were also grateful for a break from the recent heat wave. Still sticky, but at least we weren’t melting.
And finally, the end-of-season bees made their appearance. One casualty. 🐝
Overall not a bad way to finish the season! 🥁🏴
