About Us
The Dundee Scottish Pipe Band was founded in 2010 by a small group of bagpipers, several of whom had begun playing with the community high school marching bands, The Dundee Scots and The Imperial Scots.
These organizations were a beloved part of the community, and offered character building, music education, and scholarship opportunities to area youth throughout the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s.
Taking its marching band roots and the Scottish heritage of its home, the Band rebuilt an organization which fosters teamwork, education, and a drive for excellence as Dundee’s first competition pipe band.
The Band takes pride in carrying our heritage forward and offers free bagpipe lessons and free drum lessons. We enjoy playing in community events such as parades, charity events, and we are available for hire for other various gigs.
